Mission

We started in this business as Shredders.  Our backstory is on this site, but to recap, we started with what was probably the smallest shred truck ever made.  7-1/2 years later we successfully sold the business as a regional mobile and plant-based operation.  The growth velocity was staggering.

Yet despite our growth rate, it was hard to keep up with money.  We had a mindset of “doing whatever we have to do to grow and serve”.  We loved those extreme customer service stories, and made them central to our culture.  But the flip side was that led to a lot of inefficiency.  And that, in turn, made it harder to actually make money.  Our experience led us to found ShredMetrics, where today our mission is clear:

We help Shredders be more profitable by increasing efficiency.

There is no single one magical thing to fix.  Between working with Shredders and from our own experience we have learned there are many places where profit slips away and is lost forever.  

  • You might have bad route design that wastes money on extra diesel and driver hours.
