ShredMetrics is proud to have a team of seasoned and proven professionals on staff with expertise in Shredding, IT, and Business Operations. The team includes three Certified Secure Destruction Specialists (CSDS), one MBA, and one AWS-Certified Cloud Practitioner. Its Founders not only successfully grew and sold their own shredding business but Steve was also named NAID Member of the Year for his contributions to the data destruction industry.

Meet the ShredMetrics Core Team
Steve Innerfield, CSDS
Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Steve Innerfield, CSDS is the former Operations Director (and Partner) of Quality Shredding Corp. and the former Director of Technology Solutions Engineering for Pitney Bowes Management Services. He has an MBA from the University of Phoenix, which he earned at night while developing the shredding division for Pitney Bowes Management Services. Steve is the former Chairperson of the NAID Certification Support Committee, was named NAID 2016 Member of the Year, and has volunteered on multiple i-SIGMA committees. He has been a presenter or panelist at every NAID or i-SIGMA conference since 2017 and also presents at Shred School. Steve founded Quality Shredding with his wife, Tobi, while working out of their house with one small mobile shredding truck. They went on to sell their successful plant-based and mobile NAID AAA Certified Shredding company 7-1/2 years later, which by then was serving the entire Metro New York Tri-State Area. Using his expertise to help other Shredding companies, Steve founded ShredMetrics. He manages the Programming Team and is responsible for the strategic direction of the company and Q-Shred. Steve and Tobi live in New York along with Molle, their retired Service Dog.
Tobi Innerfield, CSDS
Director of Client Services
Tobi Innerfield, CSDS manages customer relationships and several financial areas at ShredMetrics. She is the former President of Quality Shredding Corp, where she directly managed both Sales and Administration and had her hands on every aspect of the business, right down to driving and operating Shred Trucks when needed. Tobi has been active on many NAID and i-SIGMA committees over the years. She has an undergraduate degree in Industrial Technology and a Masters in Religious Education. Her experience has guided the development of Q-Shred since the very beginning. Tobi lives in New York with her husband, Steve, and their retired service dog, Molle.
Roy Walker
Technical Support Manager; Network Engineer
Roy Walker has over 20 years of experience in the Security, Financial, and Risk Management industries, is Six Sigma certified in Information Technology, and is an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. Roy is responsible for managing the ShredMetrics network of AWS Servers, as well as our extensive data backup system which secures your critical data at three levels: with aggressive backups within AWS, then to our own internal storage, and finally, to an independent backup kept isolated from the internet. Roy’s expertise is also available to assist with downloads, technical or connectivity issues, and initial new-client implementations. Roy and his family live in Hampton, VA along with four dogs and a cat.
Alyssa Ramos, CSDS
Customer Experience Manager
Alyssa Ramos, CSDS manages the ShredMetrics Help Desk, answers your questions, and trains new Users. She is an experienced veteran of the Shredding world, having worked as a CSR, a Dispatcher, Router, Biller, and Salesperson. When needed, she’s driven a forklift, shredded, and emptied bins… in short… everything you might have a question about! Alyssa manages the onboarding process and will keep your Implementation on track. She’s also the one most likely to be visiting you for your onsite training day. Alyssa lives in Charlotte, NC with Noodles the dog, and any strays that are begging today.
Alex Sternlieb
Solutions Consultant
Alex Sternlieb has held every operational job in the shredding business. He started as a Truck Helper, then became a Driver, Lead Driver, Dispatcher, Shredder, and every other hands-on role in the Shredding Business. He’s worked at several privately owned shredding companies as well as Iron Mountain. Alex will help guide you through the many options and configurations of a ShredMetrics solution to help find the fit that is just right for you. Alex and his wife live in Long Island, NY where Alex is a Captain in the Wantagh Volunteer Fire Department.
Andrew Innerfield
Solutions Consultant
Andrew (Drew) Innerfield is another veteran of the shredding business. Having started by sweeping the floors at Quality Shredding, he has driven, shredded, and grown up in a shredding business! Drew can help you make good decisions about configuring the best solution. He and his family live in Gastonia, NC with their two cats Smith and Wesson.
Padraic Walker
SMMS Data Specialist
If you’ve ever wondered how ShredMetrics can help manage a business on the other side of the country, Pad is a big piece of that answer! Because Pad is an expert Q-Shred-user and in the theory behind routing and shred billing, it doesn’t matter where he’s sitting. From his remote location, he manages back-office operations to free up your local team to grow your business. Pad loves the outdoors and cooking, especially on his outdoor grill or in his pizza oven! He lives and works from Southern Virginia.
Mark Kerr
Senior Developer
Mark Kerr has been developing custom workflow solutions in Claris databases for over 25 years, preceded by 20 years in the Print industry. Mark now applies all those years of experience by customizing Q-Shred to meet specific customer needs and requests. He and his family live in sunny southern California with Muffin the dog.
Brett Reed
Developer
Brett is our Interoperability expert, who specializes in complex systems integration. An expert in writing REST APIs, Brett’s work connects Q-Shred to a variety of other platforms. He’s a self-described “Royal Caribbean Enthusiast” who lives in South Carolina after growing up in Kentucky. Brett is a Kayaker and yes, another “Dog Dad.”
